Crossroads Kids Academy

Learn music fundamentals through song, dance, and instruments in this jam-packed 3-day camp. Percussion, ukulele, guitar, piano, voice, and movement will all be used to introduce basic music theory and exploration. All instruments provided. Ages 6-10.

Intro to Violin

Want to know more about the violin? In intro to violin kids will learn about the instrument itself, the care and feeding of their violin, and more about making it sing! In this hands-on experience kids will listen to different kinds of beautiful violin and fiddle music and make some of their own! Kids will learn how to play with a bow, place fingers on the fingerboard accurately, and care for their instrument. There will be a combination of active learning, listening games, and fun art to help hone their skills and give them a peek into the world of playing the violin, and the many different ways they can make music! Ages 7-11.

Intro to Guitar

Dive into the fundamentals of guitar, learn songs, and jam with new friends in this fun and relaxed course on guitar basics. Picking, strumming, tuning, and great first songs will be covered. Ages 7-11.

Songwriting

Campers will explore melody writing, lyric crafting, chord progressions, and basic song structure—all in a fun, supportive environment. Whether your child is a beginner or already writing tunes, this camp nurtures creativity and musical confidence. Ages 14 and up.

Art Camp

Art and music have been interspersed since the beginning of time. Give your kid the chance to explore art and music and how they intertwine in this interactive art camp. Kids will get to do accessible and fun art activities, listen to some great music, and connect the ways the two influence the world around them! Kids will be able to make their own art, learn some historical stories of music we enjoy, and learn a little about classic artists and their style of art. Kids will enjoy a variety of activities and bring home memories of their own to display for friends and family to enjoy! Ages 7-11.

Intro to Ukulele

Students will learn ukulele basics like tuning, strumming patterns, and beginner chord shapes, but then progress beyond those techniques into reading chord charts and learning songs! Play together with your camp classmates with the addition of basic percussion and singing. Ages 7-11.
