Gabe Delp

Gabe Delp is a bluegrass guitar player and vocalist based out of Southeastern Pennsylvania. His first real introduction to bluegrass music was in Colorado, where he visited in his mid teens and spent all week at picking parties falling in love with the sound.

“I came in feeling like I generally had a good grasp musicality wise. It bothered me that I hardly could do the music any justice at that time. Quickly I realized there was a whole lot more to it. That’s when I got the bluegrass bug.”

Upon returning home, he was heavily inspired by the likes of Tony Rice, Bryan Sutton, Doc Watson, and Billy Strings. Since then, he aims to honor the traditional sound of bluegrass music and flatpicking guitar.

In the summer of 2022, he became a member of Wood Flower, a touring bluegrass outfit performing throughout the East Coast. After their inception, they’ve shared stages with acts like The Seldom Scene, Steep Canyon Rangers, and East Nash Grass to name a few. Earlier this year they were honored to be included in a list amongst their heroes as one of the top ten bluegrass acts to see for 2023 by PhillyBluegrass.com. They’re excited for their debut album releasing this spring, and another action packed festival season!
